Willem Moritz Vogel was a German organist, pianist, composer, and educator, who studied in Leipzig. Among his publications are One Hundred Choral Arrangements of German folksongs and One Hundred Eight-measure Studies for piano, Op. 33. The most popular of his many educational piano pieces is Vaillant chevalier or The Brave Horseman.
