Teresita Tagliapietra-Carreño was born in 1889 and was the youngest of Teresa Carreño's four children. She was herself a talented musician and studied with her mother before pursuing a career as a pianist. Like her mother, Teresita also performed extensively in Europe and the Americas, and she continued to perform and teach until her death in 1944. Today, Teresa Carreño is remembered as one of the most important figures in the history of classical music in Latin America, and her daughter Teresita is also recognized as a significant contributor to the world of music.
