The Ugly Duckling Op.30 No.10

Sergei Bortkiewicz

What's this piece like?
*The Ugly Duckling* is the tenth piece from Bortkiewicz’s *From Andersen’s Fairy Tales*. It is inspired by the story of a young bird who is rejected and made fun of because he looks different. After a long and lonely journey, he discovers that he has grown into a beautiful swan. Bortkiewicz’s music captures the sadness and tenderness of this story, but also its message of hope, beauty, and finding where we truly belong.
Who's this piece for?
This is a great piece for intermediate level pianists with a solid foundation and strong technique.
