Visions Fugitives Op. 22 is a cycle of twenty piano miniatures, which brings dissonant harmonies similar to music by contemporaries such as Schoenberg and Scriabin although retaining more traditional concepts of form and rhythm. The second movement of this set keeps the mysterious and gloomy character of the first but with very original sonorities and contrasts. The right hand in the second line can be quite challenging, requiring very light fingers and a slightly raised wrist to allow for quick changes in position and velocity.
