Shostakovich's "Dance of the Dolls" is a suite of easy piano pieces from his Ballet Suites, which were themselves compilations of excerpts from his ballets, film scores, and incidental music. The first piece of the collection, titled "Lyrical Waltz", comes from the Ballet Suite No. 3/5 and it's probably the most famous in the entire set. It has the elegance of the most typical Viennese waltzes.
