It is unknown when Handel composed this piece but, according to Grove Music, it was likely written before 1720. The character is gentle and stately, with a walking bass line where the fingering must be well learned for the sound to be even and move horizontally. The right hand has many ornaments, which might also be a challenge and should be learned carefully.
