Margis wrote several waltzes named after colors: Valse Rose (pink), Valse Blanche (white), and Valse Mauve (violet) and Valse Bleue (blue). This last piece was celebrated and famous at the composer's time with many references to pop music. This piece is divided into different sections with completely different challenges, connected together by the same 3/4 waltz-like rhythm.
