These are very imaginative character-pieces that also serve as little studies since each piece explores a specific technique. This piece explores the left hand in a very interesting way: by making it so repetitive, it becomes difficult to keep the sound and rhythm absolutely steady. The second page presents a new challenge for the right hand, with fast jumps up and down over the left.
