This is Mozart's first composition, written when he was just 5 years old. This piece is remarkably well crafted with two interesting elements: The hemiola on measure 5 makes the rhythm feel like it changed from 3 beats per measure into 2 beats per measure. On measure 6 the rhythm gets back to normal, making this theme quite original in its rhythmic variety. The trio section offers quite a contrast to the main theme (as one would expect of a Minuet and Trio). If short and jumpy staccato notes fit well in the character of the main theme, here you should play longer notes and smooth lines.
