The Maiden's Prayer Op.4

Tekla Bądarzewska-Baranowska

About this piece
This short composition of Polish composer Tekla Bądarzewska-Baranowska was published in 1856 in Warsaw, and then as a supplement to the Revue et gazette musicale de Paris in 1859. It has a charming and tender theme based on a harmonic progression repeated in five different variations. The composer explores octaves, arpeggios, and ornaments, making this a great study in these techniques. In Taiwan, The Maiden's Prayer is played on garbage trucks, along with Beethoven's Für Elise, to alert citizens of the presence of a nearby truck.
Is this your next piece?
It could be a good match if you're an intermediate pianist with a solid foundation and strong technique.
