We do not know when this piece was written, but the surviving manuscript suggests Barradas was likely in her teens. It is nonetheless a remarkable little piece, that uses only two chords in very clever and unexpected ways. The middle section uses wide broken chord positions, which makes it a very effective exercise in finger coordination and strength.
