Chopin's graceful Cantabile in Bb major was written just 3 years before the publication of his famous set of Preludes Opus 28. As the title suggests, this piece explores the singing quality of Chopin's style. It is less demanding than some of his more famous works and, for that reason, an excellent piece to start learning his style. The main challenge in this piece involves playing the right hand with a full singing tone and dynamic contrasts, while the left hand accompanies with a soft and even sound.
