Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, are a set of pieces for the piano, one in each of the twenty-four keys. Chopin wrote them in Majorca (Spanish island in the Mediterranean), where he spent the winter with George Sand and her children to escape the damp Paris weather. This prelude is very challenging technically, it has a running sixteenth-note bass part throughout. It could be associated more with his Etudes than his Preludes. Chopin did not publish any textual names for his preludes, however, pianists Alfred Cortot and Hans von Bülow created nicknames, respectively "The singing of the stream" and "Thou Art So Like a Flower".
