Prelude Op.28 No.2

Frédéric Chopin

About this piece
Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, are a set of pieces for the piano, one in each of the twenty-four keys. Chopin wrote them in Majorca (Spanish island in the Mediterranean), where he spent the winter with George Sand and her children to escape the damp Paris weather. The ostinato accompaniment in the base creates a gloomy and tormented atmosphere that was so typical during the Romantic period. Chopin did not publish any textual names for his preludes, however, pianists Alfred Cortot and Hans von Bülow created nicknames, respectively "Painful meditation; the distant, deserted sea..." and "Presentiment of death".
Is this your next piece?
It could be a good match if you're an intermediate pianist with a solid foundation and strong technique.
